What Is Your Escape Plan

What Is Your Escape Plan

Do you have an escape plan? But before we begin, lets get the definition of an escape plan.

What is an escape plan?

The word escape, means an act of breaking free from confinement or control.

The word plan, means an intentional decision about what one is going to do.

With these definition above, I came up with a definition of what an escape plan is, and this is my definition.

An escape plan is an intentional decision made by a person to break free from what he or she feels is not freedom.

Now tell me, do you have an escape plan, if yes how good is your escape plan?

Here is my story!!

I started nurturing the idea of an escape plan after I got into the university. I lost my dad the year I gain admission into the university and it seems like my life was ruined financially, but my mum is the best. It  wasn’t easy for her to see me through school and I felt really bad about our situation. I wanted to have a good life and without thinking properly, I came up with an escape plan.

What Is Your Escape Plan

What was my escape plan?

Marriage, oh! Yes, marriage was my escape plan. I was ready and I needed to follow the very next man who was willing to come and get me but as time moved on, my escape plan began to fade away. I started realizing that it won’t work out and it wasn’t realistic enough, there was no guarantee that the husband will give me all that I want, I had to start creating another one.

In the process of creating a new one, I had to wallow in my financial burden, not knowing from my left to right, and it was beginning to eat me up slowly.

During my service year, I was opportune to attend a financial seminar and it was an amazing experience. The speaker sounded like he came for me and I was ready for him too. During the cause of the of the seminar, I got a word “LEARNING” and this word has changed my life and that is when I choose learning as my escape plan.

In this life, all we do is learning, is either we are learning from a teacher or we are learning on our own. When a child takes his first step, he is actually learning on his own and when he is old enough to go to school, he start learning from his teachers.

however, we can say “learning is a process not everyone can afford”

LEARNING became my new escape plan, not just learning but learning as a process and right now, I am in the process.

I started my learning experience from reading and I am still reading, not just any books but good books. From financial to leadership to relationship to spiritual books and above all the BIBLE, you can’t just do without it.

Do you know the bible has answers to all issues about life:

For finance: proverbs 14:23 (msg), hard work always pays off, mere talk puts no bread on the table.

Phil 4;19, but my God shall supply all my needs according to his riches in glory by Christ jesus

Health: exodus 23:25, and ye shall serve the lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread and thy water and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

Relationship: 1peter 3:7, likewise ye husband, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.

1 peter 3:5 for after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands.

if you haven’t tried it before now, please do because it is where you will get all knowledge in other to set yourself free from the bondage you are trying to make an escape plan. Hosea 4:6 “ my people perished for lack of knowledge”

So tell me, are you still going ahead with that escape plan or you are getting a new one?
